With September comes the opening of two By Malene Birger stores in Norway, a home away from home for our brand. A new flagship opens in Oslo. Based in Paleet, the central Oslo shopping mall that is home to concept stores and artisan food outlets, the space is designed for discerning, informed and cultured shoppers, so the perfect environment for those that will appreciate our clothes. More than 220 square metres, the new By Malene Birger store is sure to become a destination.
Women outside of the centre are also catered to. A By Malene Birger store will open in Fornebu, beyond the borders of Oslo. Nearly 150 square metres, the new store takes its place in the shopping mall that has the best climate-friendly record in the world. Exactly the right place, perhaps, for clothes that boast lasting appeal.
These stores cement our place in the Norwegian fashion landscape, where By Malene Birger has enjoyed success since we began. We have worked again with longtime distributor, Ørnulf Høyer. With his help, the launch of these new stores help to emphasise our presence and bring our brand to more customers.
Both stores showcase a new look for By Malene Birger environments, with the eye of our Creative Director Mathilde Torp-Mader. The result is a more minimal take on shop design, with considered touches like the soft grey colour scheme and statement lighting. We want our customers to feel at home in our stores - hence furniture that is stylish but friendly, and details like colourful floor tiles. The mixture of elegance and everyday modernism is familiar, of course - it's an approach that works for our clothing too.
"Norway has always been a great market for us - as our neighbours, they share our interest in design that is both modern and timeless. I am excited and proud that By Malene Birger has two new homes in another Scandinavian capital." Morten Linnet, CEO, By Malene Birger
“It has always been a pleasure bringing By Malene Birger to the Norwegian market, and I am pleased to have cemented the alliance with these new stores. It means Norwegian women can continue to appreciate the brand's combination of elegance and playfulness." Ørnulf Høyer
