BY MALENE BIRGER PRESENTS THE SPRING SUMMER

2026 CAMPAIGN; NOTES FROM THE COAST

Captured by Louise and Maria Thornfeldt, the imagery carries a dreamy, sun-drenched quality — shifting between golden warmth and soft, muted tones. The photographs feel like treasured memories resurfacing, imperfectly perfect, echoing moments once lived.

BY MALENE BIRGER muses Cate Underwood and Essence Taylor drift through slow summer days in Palermo, framed by raw cliffs, wild coastlines, and Mediterranean flora. Their movements are unhurried, shaped by quiet reflection and a devotion to il dolce far niente, the sweetness of doing nothing.

By day, they linger by the sea — sunbathing, reading, swimming — wrapped in soft, breathable layers designed for comfort and ease. Crisp cotton catches the breeze; fluid silks soothe sun-warmed skin. Stylist Vittoria Cerciello instinctively responds to the rhythm of the day, knotting scarves into sea-sprayed hair and layering silk slips over tailored trousers; pieces that feel effortlessly worn, then just as easily shed.

As evening falls, the mood shifts inward. Some nights are spent in quiet intimacy, wrapped in soft knits or strolling the coastline in sturdier layers. Others come alive after sunset, as romantic lace meets tailored trousers and playful textures—including the season’s defining polka dots—set the tone for intimate gatherings. Laughter, music, and a refined spirit of celebration unfold effortlessly, carrying the day into night.
